Pelletization / Monomerization

In the case of material recycling, the sorting plastic is pulverized and washed, then pelletized again. In the case of chemical recycling, selected plastics are depolymerized and resynthesized as resins before proceeding to the molding process. In these processes, detection of foreign substances and evaluation of the molecular structure of raw materials are necessary. These analyses are typically performed using gel permeation chromatography (GPC), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrophotometer, and energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectroscopy.​
