Driving Advancements In Xenobiotic Research

On 20 September 2024, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University Malaya High Impact Research Center (UM HIR) and Shimadzu marks a significant milestone in scientific collaboration. This agreement is set to enhance the synergy between academia and industry, particularly in xenobiotic research. By fostering a robust exchange of knowledge, expertise, and technology, this collaboration aims to propel scientific research forward, delivering impactful advancements that will benefit both academic research and industrial innovation.
The Launch of SUTRALAB
The strategic partnership was celebrated with the launch of the "Shimadzu-University Malaya High Impact Research - Testing and Research Analytical Laboratory (SUTRALAB)," spearheaded by Prof. Ir. Dr. Kaharudin Dimyati, Mr. Ryutaro Yoshioka, and Mr. Dave Chua.
SUTRALAB aims to become a premier center of excellence in xenobiotic research within Malaysia, pioneering innovative research projects by utilizing Shimadzu's state-of-the-art instruments for method development, enhancement, and analysis. Additionally, the university will play a crucial role in actively driving knowledge dissemination through workshops, seminars, and training sessions, reinforcing its significant contribution to advancing scientific research and education in the region.
