Overview

How to select LCMS interfaces: working principle of ESI, APCI and DUIS Interface was explained in this video. The commonly used ionization interfaces for LCMS are electrospray ionization interface, in short ESI interface, and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization interface, which is also known as APCI interface. In addition, DUIS interface was also introduced, DUIS interface allows ionization of analyte using ESI and APCI techniques concurrently. DUIS interface can produce very effective ionization when simultaneous analysis of analyte that can be only ionized by ESI interface and analyte that can only be ionized by APCI interface is required.
